A WH source just confirmed to me that Kelly Sadler, the White House aide who joked about Sen. Sadler made the remark almost a month ago, and the White House has refused to apologize or discipline her, even as McCain's family members and GOP lawmakers called on them to do so. The sources did not say whether Sadler was sacked or if she left on her own accord.
The aide, Kelly Sadler, said during a discussion on McCain's opposition to Central Intelligence Agency director nominee Gina Haspel that his vote didn't matter because he's "dying" anyway.
Reports about the comment sparked a torrent of criticism and a White House public response that focused on those who leaked the comments and resisted apologizing or addressing the content of Sadler's remark.
It's unclear if Mrs. Sadler resigned or if she was sacked on Tuesday, but Mrs. Conway suggested Mrs. Sadler's comments about Mr. McCain would not preclude her from other jobs within the administration.
Capitals beat Golden Knights 4-3 to win the Stanley Cup
The remarkable Golden Knights hadn't lost four consecutive games in their entire inaugural season before the Caps rolled them. They certainly looked like that in Game 4 , closing the door quickly and rendering about 40 minutes of the game meaningless.
Her father is "all about character and bipartisanship and something greater than yourself", Meghan McCain said, before adding a stinging message to the critics: "Nobody's going to remember you".
At a news briefing after Sadler's comments were reported, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders declined to address the attack on McCain - instead saying the problem was that someone revealed Sadler's comments to the news media.
White House aide Kelly Sadler attends a forum called Generation Next at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, U.S., March 22, 2018.
White House aides are reportedly looking for leakers and considering ousting more people from the communications staff in order to prevent conversations from leaving their meetings. At the meeting, Sadler accused Schlapp, her boss, of leaking the material, causing a rift between the two. Anybody who betrays that I think is a total and complete coward.
