Suspect in Dallas Shooting Injuring Three People Arrested by Police

The Dallas Police Department tweeted that tweeted that a Loss Prevention Officer was also shot in the incident.

The shooting occurred about 4-15 p.m. on Tuesday as officers were escorting a man from the Home Depot in northern Dallas.

The officer detained a suspect and requested additional cover officers to place the suspect under arrest.

Juarez is to be considered and unsafe, Hall said, adding that it is unclear "how he was able to get a gun and shoot all three of the victims".

Armando Juarez, 29 was arrested and being held on multiple counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, Dallas Police Chief U. Reneé Hall said during a news conference.

Dallas Police Department said Juarez was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts and was possibly armed with two handguns.Though Dallas Police Department initially believed that Juarez fled from the store on foot, security footage showed him leaving with a passenger in a white pick-up truck, which was later shared by the authorities on their official Twitter account.

All of those injured in the shooting were transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. He said she is now undergoing surgery.

Rawlings said one of the officers who was shot was a female, and she was shot in the face. She asked for continued prayers for their recovery. "Our hearts are very heavy".

Earlier yesterday, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings also tweeted on the shooting: "We are closely monitoring the situation in northeast Dallas and praying for our officers and their families".

State, local and federal law enforcement agencies responded to the scene. The shooter, Micah Xavier Johnson, 25, of Mesquite, Texas, was killed after a lengthy standoff with police.
