Spider-Man PS4 Gameplay Trailer And Release Date Coming Today

Marvel's Spider-Man will launch on September 7, exclusively for PlayStation 4. It's all about being authentic to Spider-Man, and from what we've seen so far, September 7 can't come fast enough. Although exact details on this DLC have not been provided, Insomniac does confirm that there will be three new chapters in total, with each of them adding new missions, new characters, new villains and new outfits for Spider-Man.

And a $149.99 (UK price TBA) physical collector's edition will include all of the above, along with a steelbook case, a mini artbook, and a Spider-Man statue.

Joe Skrebels of IGN revealed that the game can be pre-ordered. Let us know in the comments section below.

Insomniac has given a rather blunt response to a fan querying when Spider-Man will be released on Xbox One via Twitter. In the meantime, get your pre-orders in for Marvel's Spider-Man at PlayStation Store or a friendly retailer online or near you.

While the polling date coincided with what Malviya tweeted, the date for counting of votes was different. Candidates can withdraw their candidature by 27 April.

Finally, if you're going with a good old fashioned standard edition, Amazon Prime members can save 20% on the pre-order right here. Buyers also get 5 extra in-game Skill Points, a Spider-Man PS4 avatar, and a Spider-Man PS4 theme. So it doesn't sound like it will be story-driven DLC that completes the story so much as "more adventures starring Spider-Man".

One of the special editions of the game is the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Outside of simply a copy of the game, the Digital Deluxe version will include 3 story chapters for the post-launch DLC, "The City That Never Sleeps".

The game world will apparently be "several times larger" than Sunset Overdrive, though this is something that Insomniac have also spoken about in the past. Shown in the new teaser (above), Peter Parker has a Spider-Punk suit. Negative, Nerdist reported that Mister Negative is able to take on Spider-Man with "concussive force" as a result of his powers.
