Remains Found in California Believed to Be Missing Actress

Los Angeles Police Department has reportedly found the body of missing Hollywood actress Adea Shabani in a grave in northern California. "We also believe Christopher Spotz was somehow involved in her death and we believe this to be a homicide". "Adea Shabani. We can not say that conclusively at this point in time because the condition of the remains prohibited positive identification", said William Hayes, the commanding officer of LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division.

Shabani, 25, was last seen in Hollywood on February 23.

Her family had hired a private investigator to find her and offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to Shabani's whereabouts after she went missing in February.

Discrepancies in Spotz's alibi raised warning bells but he disappeared before police could track him down for further questioning.

Spotz told police he was traveling to Northern California with Shabani when the two had an argument in Santa Clarita and he let her out of the vehicle, Hayes said.

Black Panther has dethroned The Avengers at the box office
Once news of Black Panther's new feat went viral, fans took to Twitter instantly celebrating another huge victory for the film. In the United States , this past weekend was the first since Black Panther was released that it was not the No. 1 film.

"We can not say that conclusively at this point in time because the condition of the remains prohibited positive identification", he said. Spotz said he pulled off the freeway and let Shabani out of the auto - and hadn't seen her since.

The news comes after officials said Tuesday that LAPD detectives had responded to Nevada County to investigate a suspected shallow grave amid their search for the missing woman.

While police were unable to make an immediate identification of the body found, they stated that an autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday to determine the victim's identity and cause and manner of death. Authorities said during the press conference that two days earlier, Shabani was last seen getting into a vehicle with Spotz.

Shabani was apparently last spotted in the Tacoma, LAPD spokeswoman Rosario Herrera told the Times. At some point, the investigation led authorities to a lake at the Woods Wildlife Area in Nicholas, California, but they were not successful in finding anything. "They had an intimate relationship, boyfriend-girlfriend", Hayes said Tuesday.

Last Thursday night, a North Hollywood man authorities suspect was involved in Shabani's disappearance fatally shot himself during a law enforcement chase from Hesperia to the Corona area. On March 22, San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies found Spotz in his auto in the area of the 10 and 15 Freeways.
