Shot Dead At Central Michigan University & Gunman Still At Large

Two people died after a shooting March 2 in Campbell Hall at Central Michigan University, police confirmed. Officials identified James Eric Davis Jr.as a suspect in the fatal incident, and on Friday afternoon said he remained at large.
James Davis, Sr., a is a part time police officer in IL in Chicago, and his wife, Diva Davis, were reportedly shot be their son, James Davis Jr. on Friday. He should not be approached and should be considered armed and risky.
As for Friday's shooting, "we're calling it a family-type domestic issue at this point", Klaus said. "The hurting will go on for a while", said university President George Ross.
Police said no officers have laid eyes on the suspect and they have not received any calls from community members saying they have seen him. But police at a press conference at noon said he might be wearing other clothes. Classes have been cancelled and students have been told to shelter in place and avoid the area.
The suspect, who is still at large, is a 19-year-old black man and "considered armed and unsafe", the Mount Pleasant government tweeted, sharing details of his wardrobe and asking anyone who sees him to call authorities.

About 3:15 p.m. CMU said uniformed officers began assisting individuals to leave campus buildings.
"The shooting at Central Michigan University today strikes close to home", tweeted the state representative, Emanuel Welch.
The shooting happened on the eve of spring break.

CMU is a university of about 25,000 students, located in mid-Michigan.
A message posted to the city's website Friday morning stated that the suspect was considered armed and risky, and had not been caught.
