Longtime NBA agent Dan Fegan passed away in a vehicle accident in Colorado.
The Colorado State Patrol tells The Aspen Times that Fegan was driving an SUV when he tried to merge onto a highway and was broadsided by a commuter bus near Aspen, which is about 180 miles west of Denver. Fegan's two passengers, an unidentified 29-year-old woman and Fegan's 5-year-old daughter, were airlifted with serious injuries and their current conditions are unknown.
The crash apparently occurred as Fegan attempted to merge onto the highway before running out of room. In March 2017, he was sacked by his employer Independent Sports and Entertainment (ISE) on the claim that he was "poisoning employer's business".
In 2016, Forbes called Fegan "one of the industry's most respected basketball agents" and said that he had "developed an outstanding reputation for his pragmatic approach to contract negotiation and client representation".
Manafort: Gates' Guilty Plea Doesn't 'Alter My Commitment To Defend Myself'
The conspiracy, prosecutors say, spans from 2006 to 2017 and involved more than $75 million that flowed through offshore accounts. After Trump's election win in November that year, Gates was on Trump's presidential transition team and his inaugural committee.
Fegan's family released an official statement through a spokesman named Terry Fahn, who represents the Sitrick and Company after the shocking loss. "It created a hard situation, but Fegan was determined to do what he thought was best for his client", Jeff Zillgitt wrote.
One of the most-known agents in the National Basketball Association died today. "I knew I liked you since the moment we met", the Trail Blazers' Jusuf Nurkic wrote on Twitter.
The report of Fegan's death comes from Aspen, Colo. where early on Sunday morning Fegan's auto collided with a bus.
