Chiefs are thin at cornerback once again

ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the trade's completion.

According to an National Football League insider for ESPN, the Kansas City Chiefs are expected to trade DB Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams. However, the Rams managed to keep Quinn while landing Peters in the process.

Kansas City selected Marcus Peters with the No. 18 pick in the 2015 draft.

In his three seasons in the NFL, Peters has already racked up 21 interceptions (regular season + playoffs) which is more than any other player during that span.

But he also found plenty of controversy.

Most infamously, Peters threw an official's flag after disagreeing with a call late in a Chiefs loss to the New York Jets in December and walked off the field before returning without his helmets and socks. During the game at Houston, teammates appeared to hold back an emotional Peters on the sideline from confronting a coach.

Is Spotify getting ready to challenge Apple with its own speaker?
But existing smart speakers were focused on smarts first, music second, while HomePod is all about the music. You will also work with partners to deliver the optimal Spotify experience to millions of users.

This deal comes less than a month after the Chiefs sent Alex Smith to Washington and will be receiving rising corner Kendall Fuller for Smith.

Now, Peters goes to an LA team where he will play under defensive coordinator Wade Phillips.

Clark Hunt remains the only owner to openly state he'd have "no hesitation" about signing Colin Kaepernick, so jettisoning Peters for his anthem protests wouldn't match up with the team's confirmed statements on the subject.

"The Chiefs became sufficiently exasperated with Peters previous year to suspend him for one game", says Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. During his three seasons with the Chiefs, there has been a long history of character concerns and reports of Peters wanting out.

The former first round pick still has one year left on his rookie contract, which will pay him just under $1.75 million for the 2018 season.
