Earlier today Brendan was visibly gutted as he revealed on Lorraine that the BBC has chosen not to renew his contract.
He claims he was sacked from the show after finding out at the end of last week that bosses had "made an editorial decision not to have me back on the show".
"I'm going to miss dancing with her, I've had one of the best Strictly's in 15 years and it's hard for me to even say that and I feel really emotional".
I've watched the show for years, but there'll be a sparkle less for me from now on.I'll never know the ins and outs. The BBC has issued a statement, saying they were thankful for him "being part of the show since the beginning". My passion is still very much there.

It was yet another disappointing end for Conte's side in a cup competition. "We have some time to prepare for the final". The Gunners battle Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final at 11:30 a.m.
"Wishing him all the best in his future endeavours".
The BBC said in a statement: "We'd like to thank Brendan Cole for being part of the show since the beginning - victor of the first series - and for the contribution he has made to its success".
"Bad decision. Characters like Brendan are what make the show more entertaining", added a fourth in response to a posting on the official Strictly Twitter feed. "I'm quite emotional, a bit raw about it".
He said his recent "partners. haven't been able to do what I've wanted to do. I love them to bits". "I would have preferred to have made the decision myself, but maybe I would never have made it".
In his last series, the New Zealander teamed with Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins and was eliminated in week four.
Apparently she was so upset when the judges made mean comments to him once that she wrote a letter to tell them off - now that's one dedicated fan!
