"I would be so intrigued if I was at a party and met a girl named Chicago and she said "Just call me Chi".
Khloé Kardashian also shared her reaction to her niece's name and even revealed her nickname.
The two are already parents to 4-year-old daughter North and 2-year-old son Saint. She was born healthy on Monday and weighed 7 lbs, 6oz.
The reality star has spoken publicly about her fears the couple would not be able to have another child after the first embryo implanted in the surrogate was lost.
Kardashian West ranks 47 on Forbes' celebrity 100 ranking of highest-paid entertainers with pretax earnings of $45.5 million.
Welcome Back Moshe: Recounting the 26/11 Nightmare
Moshe, who landed here this morning from Israel, went to the iconic Taj hotel in Colaba, and then proceeded to Nariman House. The Jewish couple ran a cultural and outreach centre for the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
As Kim explained on "The Ellen De Genres Show" prior to the baby's birth, "We don't have a name". Welcome to the world, Chicago West!
Keeping (up with) tradition, Kim finally revealed the new baby's name on Friday afternoon. "We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care". Chicago's nickname easily could be Chic, which would be cute, but Kim cleared the air and announced it's Chi.
It turns out that Chicago is a pretty unusual name for a baby, which may please Kim and Kanye, who like to think of themselves as always being ahead of the curve on matters of popular culture. As people everywhere speculated about what the newborn's name would be, Kim revealed the information via social media.
Kardashian West carried and gave birth to her older children but was advised against getting pregnant again because of possible medical complications.
"Khloe's really cool. I think her and her guy are going to find a really cool name", Boice said.
