Raiders to announce Gruden hiring next Tuesday

Jon Gruden is heading back to Oakland. The Raiders fired Jack Del Rio following a disappointing six-win season and appear set on bringing back Gruden.

For what it's worth, no coach has won a Super Bowl with multiple teams. One candidate was with the Oakland Raiders. The time is now for Oakland, they finally have their coach. "We congratulate you as you head back to the sideline with the Raiders".

Gruden, 54, last coached in the National Football League in the 2008 season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The announcement comes almost 20 years to the day when Gruden was first introduced as the Raiders' coach.

"It's an emotional and bittersweet day for our "Monday Night Football" family as today we say goodbye to Coach Gruden after nine very distinguished years, Coach, in this "Monday Night Football" booth", McDonough said.

Nikki Haley on Iran: 'We must not be silent'
In her remarks, Haley wasted no time criticizing the regime and siding with the protesters against their oppressors. The protests are the biggest challenge to the Iranian government's authority since mass demonstrations in 2009.

Lewis said when he signed a new two-year contract to stay on board as head coach that he wanted to retain Guenther on his staff.

Gruden coached the Raiders between the 1998 and 2001 seasons.

That led to the decision to fire Del Rio following his third season and go hard after Gruden. Gibbs stepped away following the 1992 season with three Super Bowl titles in his career. Current Raiders quarterback Derek Carr appeared on the show in 2014 and seemed to make a strong impression on Gruden. Gibbs returned to coaching in 2004 and his second stint in Washington wasn't almost as effective as his first.
