Christmas being celebrated in Goa with religious fervour

In Hyderabad, the Christian community also celebrated Christmas with the religious fervour and festivity by attending events in the churches and holding parties at their residences. The head priests gave sermons on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ who gave world the message of peace, brotherhood and love.
The Crib and the special ship on which a model of Santa Claus was displayed attracted everyone's attention. The impressively decorated churches lent a festive spirit to the occasion of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.The people also distributed candies and burst crackers.
A group of singers performed the Christmas carol at the reception. "Kashmiris are peaceful", said a local devotee Margaret Mary after Christmas prayers", adding "Peace will return soon to Kashmir by Jesus's grace".
"We all share in the light of Jesus Christ because the Bible tells us that Christ is the light of the world", explains Trinity Presbyterian Pastor Mark Flynn. "Christ was born for us, to save us from our sins, the least we can do is come on His day of birth and celebrate with Him and celebrate with our church family", says Pastor Flynn. The prime message, as the saying goes, is to bring peace and prosperity, irrespective of one's religion.

The incident was caught in CCTV camera of the Baptist Church at Hawakana area of the town and it had also gone viral on social media with people condemning the incident which took place hours after the midnight service.
