Atlus announces Catherine: Full Body for PlayStation 4 and Vita

Atlus have announced that a remastered version of their provocative puzzle game Catherine will be coming soon to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, titled Catherine: Full Body.

The rumors were true, as Catherine: Full Body has been officially announced for PS4 and Vita.

Catherine, which was originally released in 2012 for the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360, is one of Atlus's newest titles. Called the "third Catherine" but apparently named Rin, early descriptions situate her as more of a confidant and moral compass for Vincent as he wrestles with his questions of infidelity and guilt. For the uninitiated, the game follows a man who's deathly afraid of commitment who ends up cheating on his fiancee Katherine with a woman he meets at his regular bar named Catherine.

Are you excited about getting a remake of this game? A PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita remake is now in development, the company revealed this week, with updated visuals and entirely new content planned for the game. While primarily a puzzle-adventure game, Catherine Full Body will hopefully make an appearance at future Evo side-tournaments, as the original game has a two-player competitive mode that, no joke, outshines some of the main tournaments' competition.

Atlus hasn't revealed a release date yet for Catherine: Full Body.

"Atlus is also asking viewers to send in their "nightmare-like incidents" on Twitter with the hashtag "#悪夢のような出来事" in commemoration of the Catherine: "Full Body announcement.

Studio Zero, which is being run by Katsura Hashino, is handling the conversion, and has noted, according to Famitsu, that it will be introducing a "third Catherine" to go along with the other characters in the story.
