The House passed new legislation on Wednesday that would require all states to recognize concealed carry permits from other states.
Two things need to be noted here.
In theory, the bill would allow someone who holds a permit from a state with lax restrictions to carry a concealed firearm in a state where they would not otherwise qualify for a permit.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act prevents criminals from abusing the law. The Congressman is a strong Second Amendment supporter, as well as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, who after terror attacks at a recruitment center and military facility near Chattanooga in 2015, guided passage of a law allowing more service members to carry firearms on base.
