Sprint to bundle Hulu with Unlimited Freedom plan beginning November 17

The two companies will also offer Sprint Unlimited customers an upgrade option for Hulu's sports and news-centric live TV plan in the future.

Sprint announced Wednesday that it will offer the Hulu video streaming service to customers in its Unlimited Freedom plan. For a limited time, the carrier is also throwing in an extra line for free.

The Sprint-Hulu pact comes after T-Mobile teamed up with Netflix to bundle Netflix's standard streaming service for subs on unlimited family plans, and AT&T expanded its offer of free HBO to all unlimited-plan customers. In addition to Hulu, Sprint now offers a six-month free trial of music service Tidal to its subscribers.

The offer launches Friday, online only until December 8.

There are other ways to incentivize employees to quit smoking, according to The Midwest Business Group on Health . Japanese marketing firm Piala is rewarding nonsmokers in the best way it knows how: with vacation days.

Sprint's Unlimited plans normally cost $60 monthly for one line, an additional $40 for line 2, and an additional $30 per month for lines 3-5.

We know people will love watching TV on their mobile devices, so we're making it easier than ever for Sprint customers to enjoy their favorite shows and movies on Hulu. Consumers are using their mobile phones to stream more video, and offering Hulu helps Sprint differentiate its service, Samson said. Sprint's deal with Hulu means customers can save $7.99 a month, the usual price of the streaming plan. Getting in a dig at T-Mobile and its partnership with Netflix, Sprint says, "Other wireless carriers might say they have entertainment covered".

To sign up for the offer, starting November 17, Sprint Unlimited Freedom customers can visit sprint.com/hulu.

As the fourth-place wireless carrier in the United States, Sprint is in need of a new strategy or ploy to stem its subscriber loss and become more competitive with the larger players in the market. Currently, you can get unlimited everything for just $25 a line when signing up for a four line family plan.
