The New York City Police Department said Friday that a 2010 rape accusation against Harvey Weinstein is "credible" and the Hollywood mogul would have faced immediate arrest if he were now in the state and the incident was more recent.
The NYPD and Manhattan District Attorney's Office has notified Homeland Security to keep a close eye on the disgraced moviemaker - who can still hop on a flight to anywhere within the United States, sources said.
The factors that made her story credible included: "The ability to articulate each and every minute of the crime, where she was, where they met, where this happened and what he did", he said. De la Huerta says Weinstein started by trying to kiss her, but when she brushed him away, "He pushed me onto the bed and his trousers were down and he lifted up my skirt".
Then two months later, Weinstein showed up at her building and they went upstairs before he attacked her again, according to the actress.
Her allegations come after more than 50 women have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment and abuse.

"He hushed me and said, 'Let's talk about this in your apartment, '" de la Huerta said. We then sought to garner corroboration - this happened seven years ago - and we found corroboration.
She told CBS that she had been drinking that night and was in no state to agree to having sex. That's when she alleges Weinstein took off her dress and forced himself on her. "We are actively investigating them", Sergeant Brendan Ryan, an NYPD spokesman said Thursday. "As this is an active investigation, we will not be commenting further".
"We are aware of the sexual assault complaints". Weinstein, 65, has previously denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.
