OK State Basketball: How is Lamont Evans involved in FBI investigation?

The findings led to his former assistant at Oklahoma State in federal court Wednesday afternoon, facing bribery and corruption charges, among others.

"As we have already stated, we will cooperate with federal officials and coordinate with the NCAA as we move forward with looking into this matter to the fullest extent".

Other college coaches charged include Auburn assistant Chuck Person, Emanuel Richardson of Arizona and USC assistant Tony Bland.

US authorities on Tuesday unveiled fraud charges against 10 people associated with some of the country's premier college basketball programs, including four coaches and an Adidas AG executive, following a two-year corruption probe. Others included managers, financial advisers and representatives of a major global sportswear company.

United have great memories of Moscow after they won their third Champions League title here in 2008 against Chelsea in a penalty shootout.

"We were surprised to learn this morning of potential actions against one of our assistant basketball coaches by federal officials". He has been suspended by Oklahoma State in connection with the investigation. Evans served under IL coach Brad Underwood when the two coached at Oklahoma State during the 2016-17 campaign.

Prosecutors said Gatto and others funneled $100,000 from Adidas, identified as "Company-1", to the family of an elite high school prospect so he would play at an Adidas-sponsored school matching the description of the University of Louisville. Underwood hired Lamont Evans to be his assistant coach previous year. Evans was involved in an investigation into bribes from personal managers to influence players to sign with them. "These are serious accusations that are not consistent with University of SC values".

Authorities say agents and financial advisers paid bribes to assistant coaches to get them to introduce them to star college players and their parents before the students turned professional. His next appearance will be October 10 in NY.

According to Evans' contract, which the Tulsa World received through an open records request, the university's obligations for payment cease at the end of the month in which he is terminated for just cause. "Month, after month, the defendants exploited the hop dreams of student athletes around the country and allegedly treating them as little more than opportunities to enrich themselves through bribery and fraud schemes".
