Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Sunday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of favouring only a "few people" and formulating anti-poor policies.

"Since the Union government and the state government of Uttar Pradesh have massive majority, there would be no impact of the opposition rally called by the RJD chief in Bihar today", he told reporters here. "We feel that he has voluntarily left the JD (U) by going against the party line". He said that those big leaders who are not able to join, they have chose to send their party senior leaders to the rally. Adding that by attending the rally, Yadav had created problem for his membership, Tyagi added that he is likely to lose his Rajya Sabha membership as well.

Besides, Congress' C.P. Joshi, NCP's Tariq Anwar, RLD's Choudhary Jayant Singh, CPI's Sudhakar Reddy and former Jharkhand Chief Ministers Hemant Soren of the JMM and Babulal Marandi of the JVM, AIUDF chief Badruddin Azmal, and leaders from DMK, JD-S and RSP will also attend the rally, the RJD leader said. Sharad Yadav echoed the same thoughts as Lalu and said without naming Nitish Kumar that his shadow betrayed him. Seated in the front row were Lalu Yadav wife, sons Tejaswi and Tej Pratap Yadav, and daughter Misa Bharti, a Rajya Sabha MP.
