Three Palestinians killed in clashes with israeli forces

Following the deadly shootout inside the compound last Friday in which two Israeli policeman were killed, metal detectors were installed by Israeli police.

Three Palestinians were killed and hundreds wounded in the clashes in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The terrorist was reportedly shot by an off-duty Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier who heard the family's screams from a neighboring house.

She further said talks between the two sides could not solve the problem, noting that "negotiations are not what is needed, what is needed is for Israel to desist [from] its illegal policies and practices".

Abbas called on all Palestinian employees to donate one day's pay to support Jerusalem. Police responded by pushing them away with tear gas and stun grenades.

"Therefore we have taken a decisive and firm position especially regarding security coordination and all forms of coordination between us and them", the Palestinian president said. "The assailant was shot", Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Twitter.

In the Issawiya neighborhood, a burning tire was rolled from the top of a road toward security forces.

"A Palestinian infiltrated a private home in the community of Neve Tsuf, northwest of Ramallah, and stabbed four Israeli civilians", a statement said.

On Friday, the Palestinian people marked "Day of Rage" to protest Tel Aviv's restrictions on entry into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, which was met with a heavy-handed Israeli crackdown.

On Thursday, police released video footage of the weapons being smuggled into the holy site.

The israeli police stated that it could decide that some persons, at his discretion, did not have to go through the metal detectors.

To protest against the porticos of security, the faithful no longer pray on the esplanade of the Mosques, since Sunday and are outside of the site.

"I announce the freezing of contacts with Israel on all levels and the suspension of coordination until all the measures taken at al-Aqsa mosque have stopped", Abbas said in a message tweeted by his Fatah Movement.

Tensions in Jerusalem's Old City boiled over into skirmishes after the midday prayer. "Three of the victims died as a result of their wounds, and another was evacuated to the hospital".

The third death reportedly occurred in Abu Dis in the West Bank, near Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
