Employees at Alfred Angelo Bridal in Boynton Beach told NewsChannel 5 the store would be closing at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Pinilis had ordered and paid about $1,350 for six bridesmaid dresses for her September wedding - and the dresses supposedly were available for pickup at the chain's store in the Short Pump Station shopping center on West Broad Street in Henrico County.
She was tipped off to the possible closure after her sister-in-law received an e-mail from Alfred Angelo Bridal saying the company wasn't filling anymore orders and that her order was canceled. "The bride has her dress, " she said "I'm frustrated because we're not getting any answers". "Phones are just ringing and ringing and it's just going to their voicemail". "They're not answering the phones".
The company has more than 60 stores across the country. "But no, I called and they said they were closing".

"I'm really trying to stay calm, but all the money we put into these dresses", Mejia said.
"I tried to call the store and no one would answer, so that is why I just thought I'd come down here and see", said Tedra Buckler as she also looked, to no avail, for her dress. The officers explained the shop was closed and they were trespassing.
"My sister's wedding is in March, she's coming over from England to get married in Vegas", Packer said.
"It's not gonna make or break it because at the end of the day if I'm married to the love of my life then everything went according to plan".
Cara Freeburg found out Thursday night via Facebook that her October wedding might be facing some complications.
"Everybody is calling. 'Where's my dresses.' But I tell them, 'I didn't know nothing about it either, '" Yong Lim said.
Brides across the country are anxious about their big day after being told that one of the world's largest wedding dress retailers has filed for bankruptcy. I'm very sad and sorry when this happens in any industry but it is particularly hard in this industry as you leave brides in a panic.
