Cloudy weekend as chances for showers, thunderstorms persist

Few storms could be severe between Thursday and Friday.
Friday brings a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Afternoon sunshine will lead us into a mostly clear sky Saturday night. Southwest wind 3 to 7 miles per hour. The rain risk will be 40 percent. A few additional showers and thunderstorms are possible overnight.
