Prominent firm to defend 'Bachelor' star in Iowa crash case

Former star of "The Bachelor", 35-year-old Chris Soules, was arrested earlier this week after fleeing the scene of a traffic accident that took the life of an Iowa grandfather.

Soules was friendly with Mosher, the man who was killed in the accident, reported. He told the dispatcher that he didn't know CPR, and he could be heard asking others who were there if they did. The man had a pulse, but there was blood around his mouth, Soules said. Soules did not sound intoxicated during his 911 call. On the 911 call, an audibly shaken Chris explains that the man, later identified as Kenneth Mosher, 66, was unconscious.

According to his obituary in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier Mosher was the father of two children and had three grandchildren. He also served in the Army in Vietnam. A witnesses told deputies Soules was picked up by a red truck down the road from the crash, the spokesman said. Fact is. since he was in a standoff at his house for hours before he was taken to a hospital where blood was drawn, there's nearly no chance of determining if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. As one source said, "Iowa juries that understand rural life are not going to convict a guy who tries helping the victim before leaving". He was booked on a charge of leaving the scene of a deadly crash and released on bond hours later on the condition that he surrender his passport and wear an ankle monitor until his trial.

Additional charges are possible, but the initial charge against Soules carries a penalty of up to five years in prison.

While he did not speak publicly, reports say Soules spoke so softly that the judge had to request him to speak up.

Earth spotted through Saturn's rings
NASA said the Cassini mission to Saturn is "one of the most ambitious efforts in planetary space exploration ever mounted". NASA officials also noted in a statement that the canyon had a maximum depth of almost 2.4 miles.

"We're continuing with Iowa State Patrol to investigate the accident by recreating the crash", Wolfgram tells Radar. "He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away", Soules' spokesperson said.

In the call, Soules is breathing heavily, apparently emotional and seemingly on the edge of tears as he tells the dispatcher what happened in the collision between his truck and the tractor, telling the operator, "There's no address". He proposed to Chicago fertility nurse Whitney Bischoff at the end of his season, but their relationship ended shortly after the show. "I can't tell. He doesn't appear to be", Soules responds.
