Nokia 6 users are now receiving updates, bringing Android Nougat version 7.1.1 and April 2017 security patch to the smartphones. HMD Global (which owns the Nokia brand and is comprised of former Nokia people) has as many as five additional Android phones in store for 2017.

The Nokia 6 smartphone is benefitting from the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. There will also be improvements in the connectivity features of Nokia 6, with the update adding support for 4G/3G dual-SIM dual-standby and improvements on the Nokia USB driver. The update is reported to be weighing in at 370MB and it will be coming with an updated enhanced power saving and background management. Which means you should now be able to utilize launch actions on apps that support shortcuts right from the home screen, express yourself better with the new set of emojis, and more.
