Cleveland Browns announce 2017 preseason schedule

The Houston Texans, a frequent preseason partner of the Saints and the new occupant of the Greenbrier Resort's training facility, will play New Orleans in Week 3 (Aug. 24 to August 27).

Following the second week contest with the Giants, the Browns hit the road for the final two preseason games.

The dates and times of the Browns' exhibition games will be announced later this month when then National Football League unveils the regular-season schedule.

The Browns other three opponents are the New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears.

Typically, the preseason games are subject to being broadcast on Raycom Media outlets for local fans. The Browns defeated the Buccaneers, 31-7, during the 2015 preseason, but suffered a lopsided loss last August.

As seen in the tweet above, the Browns will be playing on a Monday night in August, allowing the team to showcase the brand new talent brought in through the draft. Cleveland will be very familiar with Soldier Field in 2017.

News 5 (WEWS) is the preseason television home of the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are also scheduled to play a regular season game there in 2017.

The final two games are on the road, at Tampa Bay the weekend of August 24-27, and at Chicago the weekend of August 31-Sept. 1.

The Browns 2017 regular season schedule will be announced later this month.
