If you've been keeping up with the myriad Moto G5 leaks over the past couple of weeks, you already know virtually everything there is to know about the new smartphones. The devices look similar as seen in the earlier leaked images with a big circular camera module and metal built body. The 5MP camera on the front comes with the wide-angle lens for capturing wider selfies.
Last year's generation came with 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. While the specs only list 2GB of RAM, it's extremely likely that there will be another version sporting 4GB of RAM as well based on the current models: the Moto G4 Plus now has two variants with 2GB and 4GB of RAM in the US.
Whereas both the Moto G4 and G4 Plus are 5.5-inch handsets with full HD displays, promotional material on the website (as opposed to simply retailer-published specs) shows that the G5 has shrunken to an even 5.0 inches, and the G5 Plus to 5.2 inches. The Moto G5, according to this information, will have a 5-inch Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage, with a microSD card slot to add up to 128GB of additional storage.
2017, Lenovo will be announcing the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, the mid-range flagship smartphones. While in previous Motorola devices the home button which also doubles up as the fingerprint scanner has been more squarish in shape, the now oval-rectangle button gives the phone a slightly different look.
More than half say politics is a source of stress
Researchers found that approximately 71 percent of USA citizens reported symptoms of emotional stress at least one day that month. The ones who live in rural areas were not as concerned about the future of their nation as were the ones who live in urban areas.
Finally, the G5 Plus will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual autofocus pixels, while G5 will have a 13-megapixel phase-detect autofocus sensor. Last week a post on Weibo claimed the Moto G5 Plus will have a Sony IMX362 sensor 12MP camera, with F1.7 aperture, PDAF support. It offers the same connectivity options as seen on the above mentioned Moto G5.
Seems like Motorola is getting ready for the launch a new Moto smartphone soon in the United States. Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the Moto G5 Plus, and a 3,000mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and it will support TurboPower fast charging.
Lenovo will host its Motorola event at MWC 2017 on Sunday, February 26th. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
