You'll drag characters around to move them from tile to tile, with movement and combat apparently working like in a typical Fire Emblem. The first game in the series debuted in 1990 in Japan, but it only came to North America in 2003, with the simply-titled "Fire Emblem" game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. "Some familiar hero characters will become allies, while others will become enemy generals and take arms against you". But that's not the only glad Fire Emblem tidings it dropped at its Nintendo Direct. While this clearly isn't the case, it's odd that the Big N doesn't have a firm date in mind for the iOS launch of Fire Emblem Heroes - especially when the software's Android arrival is just around the corner.
Fire Emblem Heroes will be free to play, but Nintendo says it will include optional in-app purchases as well. But beware, some of those beloved characters will be acting against you, which means you'll have to kill them eventually.
Nintendo broadcast one of its Nintendo Direct video presentations today dedicated exclusively to its Fire Emblem game franchise, and it's worth watching for devs curious to keep pace with the company's strategy for 2017.
So what did you think of all these titles? The game will arrive on iOS "soon". On May 19, amiibo versions of both will also be available.

Fire Emblem Heroes is an original strategy RPG about two warring kingdoms in a bitter clash. Each one has a color that dictates where it stands in the weapon triangle, and they all have new artwork and voicework for Heroes.
Fire Emblem Warriors, however, isn't the only title that's coming to the Switch.
Upcoming Nintendo Switch title, Fire Emblem Warriors, will also be launching on the New 3DS and New 3DS XL, Nintendo has confirmed, making it the first Switch title we know of that will also receive a handheld release. Voting is now open on the official Fire Emblem site, with My Nintendo account members receiving 200 Platinum Points for making a selection.
Furthermore, Fire Emblem will return to home consoles next year as a title will make it to the Switch.
