FBI investigations into Trump-Russia ties yield little

Comey was criticized for breaking with department tradition and revealing information about an in-progress investigation, but now, he is also facing claims that he was politically motivated to release the Clinton email information so close to the election.
But law enforcement sources told the New York Times that any ongoing investigations into Donald Trump's ties to Russian Federation have been inconclusive and have not turned up a direct link. However, "Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government".
It's clear from his comments that the president believes that a suspicion of ambitious women is hampering Clinton.
On Monday (31 October) NBC News reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is conducting a preliminary inquiry into Donald Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort's business ties with Russian Federation.
Clinton's aides have launched an all out offensive against the FBI, calling Director James Comey's decision to disclose the updated investigation a "blatant double standard".
With seven days until the United States election, Donald Trump holds a slender lead in the polls. "Mr. Trump has no knowledge of any of his past or present activities", campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks told the Los Angeles Times. "It raises even more troubling questions in light of Russia's masterminding of hacking efforts that are clearly meant to hurt Hillary Clinton's campaign".
NBC reminded readers that it "reported in August that Manafort was a key player in multi-million-dollar business propositions with Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs - one of them a close Putin ally with alleged ties to organized crime".

Conversely, only 6 percent of registered Democrats have voted for Donald Trump.
It's an admittedly small sample, but a new poll shows that among the early and absentee vote in Florida, 28 percent of registered Republicans already voted for Hillary Clinton.
"If we don't repeal and replace Obamacare, we will destroy American health care forever", Mr Trump told a rally just outside Philadelphia.
